Terms and conditions

We would like to introduce you to our general terms and conditions governing how we process your ticket orders. Please read these Terms carefully before purchasing a ticket. By purchasing a ticket, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.


1. General Provisions

1.1. These Terms & Conditions for Online Ticket Sales (hereinafter – the “Terms”) govern the sale of tickets by Bhakti Marga Latvijas draudze, registration No. 50801052661 (Registry of Religious Organisations and their Institutions), registered address:

(hereinafter – the “Organiser”).

1.2. By purchasing a ticket through the website, the purchaser (hereinafter – the “Customer”) confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1.3. Tickets are sold exclusively online through the Organiser’s website https://bhaktimarga.lv/ (hereinafter – the Platform).

1.4. The Organiser conducts courses, seminars, concerts, and public spiritual events (including darshans, satsangs, and other spiritual gatherings) primarily in Latvia and occasionally in Lithuania and Estonia.

1.5. The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms unilaterally by publishing an updated version on the Platform. If a ticket was purchased prior to any amendment, the Terms in force at the time of purchase shall apply.

 

2. Conclusion of the Contract

2.1. To purchase a ticket, the Customer must complete an online registration form providing: first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), and any other information requested in the registration form.

2.2. The Customer confirms that:

  • the information provided is truthful and accurate;
  • they are at least 18 years of age or are acting with the consent of a legal representative;
  • they have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2.3. A legally binding agreement between the Organiser and the Customer is concluded at the moment when:

  • the Customer has submitted an order via the website; and
  • the payment has been successfully processed through the payment service provider Stripe.

2.4. After successful payment, the Customer will receive via email:

  • registration confirmation,
  • personalised purchase receipt,
  • order identification number,
  • where applicable, personalised QR code for event entry.

The Organiser is not responsible for registration email non-delivery if an incorrect email address was entered. In such cases, the Customer should contact the Organiser directly.

2.5. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order in case of technical errors, payment issues, or suspected fraudulent activity.

 

3. Prices and Payments

3.1. All prices displayed on the website are indicated in Euro (EUR).

3.2. Payment processing is carried out through the secure third-party payment platform – Stripe.

3.3. Accepted payment methods: credit and debit card (Visa, Mastercard), and other payment methods offered by the payment service provider.

3.4. All payment information is transmitted directly to the payment service provider. The Organiser does not store full card details.

3.5. The Organiser is not responsible for any additional bank or payment service fees charged by third parties.

3.6. Where an event or part of an event is free of charge (on a donation basis), this will be clearly indicated on the Platform. Voluntary donations are non-refundable.

 

4. Tickets and Event Admission

4.1. Tickets are personalized and linked to the email address provided by the Customer at the time of purchase.

4.2. For events where on-site registration is required, entry is granted upon presentation of the personalized QR code (either in printed or digital form).  The QR code is scanned using the Organiser’s registration application to verify the Customer’s purchase or registration.

4.3. Tickets may not be copied, resold, transferred, or distributed to third parties.

5. Event Cancellation or Postponement by the Organiser and Refund Policy

5.1. In accordance with Article 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, and the provisions of the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law, the standard 14-day distance contract withdrawal right does not apply to tickets and registrations for events with a fixed date (leisure activities). This exemption applies to all events organised by the Organiser.

5.2. Purchased tickets are non-refundable except in the following cases:

  • the event is cancelled,
  • the event is postponed,
  • the venue of the event is changed.

In all other cases, including where the Customer is unable or unwilling to attend the event for personal reasons, the ticket value will not be refunded.

5.3. To request a refund under clause 5.2, the Customer must submit a written request to info@bhaktimarga.lv stating: full name, event name and date, and order confirmation number. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days to the same payment instrument used for the original purchase.

5.4. In the case of postponement, the Customer has the right to:

  • use the ticket for the rescheduled date; or
  • request a refund within fourteen (14) days from the date of notification of the change.

If the Organiser cancels an event, all registered Customers will be offered a full refund regardless of how far in advance the cancellation occurs.

The Organiser will inform Customers of any cancellation or postponement as promptly as possible by email, via a notice on the Platform and/or on social media channels.

5.5. The Organiser reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the event program, speakers, schedule, or format, provided that the essential nature of the event is not materially altered. Such changes shall not constitute a cancellation or postponement within the meaning of clause 5.4 and shall not entitle the Customer to a refund.

5.6. The Organiser assumes no liability for costs incurred by Customers in connection with their planned attendance (travel, accommodation, or other services) in the event of a cancellation or postponement due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

6. Processing of Personal Data

6.1. Personal data provided by the Customer is processed in accordance with the Organiser’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

6.2. Personal data is processed for the purposes of:

  • order processing,
  • issuing receipts,
  • event admission control,
  • communication regarding event-related matters.

6.3. Payment data is processed by a certified payment service provider. The Organiser does not store full payment card details.

 

7. Customer Conduct and Admission

7.1. The Customer agrees to:

  • observe the event rules and regulations set by the Organiser;
  • behave respectfully towards other participants, the Organiser’s staff, and volunteers;
  • respect the traditions and protocols of the religious or spiritual venue, including any dress code requirements;
  • refrain from making audio, video, or photographic recordings during the event without the Organiser’s written permission;
  • observe periods of silence and meditation where required by the event programme.

7.2. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove from the event any Customer who breaches the event rules, behaves aggressively, is under influence of alcohol or drugs or whose conduct disturbs other participants. In such cases, the ticket value will not be refunded.

7.3. Children and minors attending the event must be accompanied by an adult, unless the event description states otherwise.

 

8. Force Majeure

8.1. The Organiser shall not be held liable for cancellation, postponement, or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, public safety concerns, or other force majeure events.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1. The Organiser holds events for religious and spiritual purposes on a non-profit basis. The Organiser’s total liability to the Customer shall in no event exceed the ticket price paid by the Customer.

9.2. The Organiser is not liable for:

  • personal belongings lost, damaged, or stolen during the event;
  • personal injuries or accidents arising from the Customer’s own negligence or failure to observe the event rules;
  • health issues that may arise during spiritual or physical practice sessions, where the Customer has not disclosed relevant health conditions;
  • third-party services (transport, accommodation) arranged independently by the Customer.

9.3. The Customer participates in the event consciously and at their own risk, acknowledging the religious and spiritual nature of the event.

9.4. The Organiser is not liable for technical disruptions on the Platform or in payment systems that are under the control of third parties, provided reasonable precautions have been taken.

 

10. Final Provisions

10.1. These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia.

10.2. Any disputes shall be resolved through mutual negotiations. If no agreement is reached, the dispute shall be referred to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (CRPC) for mediation, or to a court of the Republic of Latvia in accordance with applicable law.

10.3. The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The current version is published on the website.
